‍Processing your payment: To place an order/buy a membership, event, retreat or course on our website or affiliated site. In order to process your payment, we use a third-party payment processor. Your payment will be processed by Stripe, a service which collects, uses and processes your information, including payment information, in accordance with their privacy policies: stripe.com/gb/privacyStripe’s services in Europe are provided by a Stripe affiliate – Stripe Payments Europe Limited (“Stripe Payments Europe”), which is an entity located in Ireland. In providing Stripe Services, Stripe Payments Europe transfers personal data to Stripe, Inc. in the US.
‍Providing you the requested Services: To be able to provide you with the requested Services, including to register and administer your use of the Services, we process personal data about you. The legal basis for such processing is the service contract for the Service in question.
‍Registration and administration related to your participation in Services, contests and special events: The personal data processed for this purpose will vary according to the special event in question. The legal basis for such processing is your consent to participate in the special event. These may include: live events, online events, retreats, trainings both in person and online.

In addition, Gentle Brain may use third parties (domestic and/or foreign) to collect and process personal data on Gentle Brain’s behalf and in according to the company’s instructions. The purpose of the processing is i) to improve or develop our website or any equipment related to specific services and ii) for the proper functioning of our Services. Gentle Brain processes personal data in accordance with Norwegian data protection law and follows generally accepted industry standards to maintain appropriate technical and organizational security measures.

DATA RETENTION

Gentle Brain retains the collected data for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Thereafter Gentle Brain deletes all aforementioned data in its possession within a reasonable timeframe. Please note that some data may be further retained if necessary to resolve disputes, enforce Gentle Brain policy agreements and comply with technical and legal requirements and constraints related to the security, integrity and operation of Services.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Gentle Brain does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If Gentle Brain learns that the company has inadvertently gathered personal data from children under 13 years of age, the company will take reasonable measures to promptly delete such personal data from their records. Gentle Brain understands the need to provide extra privacy protections to visitors who are children.
